I have twenty-five books published under my own name and four pen names. I teach at numerous conferences and via correspondence/internet and organizational speaking. There are over two million copies of my books in print and I am published in a dozen foreign countries. The Area 51 books have been consistent USA Today Bestsellers. AREA 51’s screenplay has been written by the same writer who did ALIEN. I grew up in New York City, graduated from West Point and spent twenty years on active and reserve duty in the Infantry and Green
Berets. I have been an Infantry Recon platoon leader, a Special Forces A-Team Leader, and a writer/instructor at the JFK Special Warfare Center & School at Fort Bragg. I am a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America.
I am currently working on The Green Beret Way: Special Forces Tactics That Take You From Ordinary To Elite. The presentation is up to date and the book is at several publishers under consideraton. I live on Hilton Head Island, SC.
I began writing when living in the orient in the late 80s while studying martial arts. It took hundreds of rejections and several manuscripts before I got my first book deal. I've incorporated all I've learned in the Fiction Writer's Toolkit which I started over ten years ago.
I am often asked why I write under pen names. I do this for business reasons in dealing with different publishers. Each publisher owns the option on the next book under that name, so in order to do some different things, I use pen names.
