Dr. Lynne Kitei internationally acclaimed physician and health educator
An internationally-acclaimed physician and health educator, Lynne D. Kitei, M.D., has been leading the cutting-edge era of early disease detection and prevention as Chief Clinical Consultant at the world-renowned Arizona Heart Institute's Imaging/Prevention/Wellness Center in Phoenix, Arizona. She is also key witness to the still-unexplained UFO mass sighting that took place throughout Arizona on March 13, 1997, called the "Phoenix Lights."
Dr. Lynne receive her Bachelors of Science Degree in Secondary Science Education, with minors in communication and voice from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa. She received an M.D. degree from the Temple University School of Medicine and completed her postgraduate work at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.
Before her medical training Dr. Lynne appeared in over 30 featured and starring roles in professional musical comedies, including Alice in Wonderland with Sherman Hemsley, Oklahoma starring Gordon Mac Rae, Guys & Dolls starring Betty Gravle, and understudied for Barbara Eden in The Sound of Music. She also played the role of "Florence Arizona" in the hit 20th Century Fox, Coen brothers movie Raising Arizona, starring Nicholas Cage, Holly Hunter, Frances MacDormand and John Goodman.
Dr. Lynne combined her artistic and academic talents during her residency to reach out to the community. She was called the "woman pioneer of medical communications" in TV Guide after creating and producing innovative TV news health reports for NBC in Philadelphia in 1976. Since that time she has dedicated over 25 years to global public awareness, wellness, and health education.
Dr. Lynne has appeared as the resident health reporter for the NBC TV affiliates in Philadelphia, PA, and Phoenix, Arizona, as medical consultant for KPHO TV News in Phoenix, Arizona and has been featured on USA Cable, FOX TV News, and MSNBC. Dr. Kitei also wrote and appeared globally in over one hundred 60-90 second health segments, produced by Alcare Productions.
In addition to her duties as a premier medical communications specialist, Dr. Lynne is owner and president of Health Education Learning Programs. She has been lauded internationally as an award-winning producer, writer, and director of the "YOU MAKE IT!" prevention/education video and workbook curriculum series.
Her AIDS, Substance Abuse and Teen Pregnancy programs have won the Telly Bronze Award in 1995, the National Education Film & Video Festival Silver Apple Award in 1994, the New York International Film Festival Finalist Award in 1992 and 1993, the Chicago International Film Festival Silver Hugo and Finalist Awards in 1993, the Columbus International Film & Video Festival Honorable Mention Award in 1991, and the Arizona Hemmy Award in 1993 and 1994.
Dr. Lynne has also been recognized in the Who's Who of American Women, was chosen as the Woman of the Year in Pennsylvania, and has been featured for her innovative and ground-breaking work in publications such as the Philadelphia Inquirer, TV Guide magazine, Runner magazine, Phoenix magazine, and Physician's Management magazine.
